About Creative Careers Guide

As part of the University of Portsmouth’s commitment in supporting Employability, and as a Faculty of Creative and Cultural Industries’ effort to work aligned within the university’s strategic aims of supporting career enhancing activities for all of our students, this Creative Guide is designed to support our Creative students with their job searches.

It showcases good examples of work and best practices that inspire and support creative students when job-searching within the Creative Industries.

Why a guide just for creative students?

  • Creative students have specific needs when tackling the job market.
  • Generic careers resources are unable to meet those needs.

Created by a team of academics and careers consultants from the University of Portsmouth, this guide is full of handy tips and employers’ advice.
